Xilinx ISE license

Jump to solution

Hi, I recently downloaded ISE Design Suite for Windows 10 - 14.7. I also obtained an ISE WebPACK License online for free (see picture). I was wondering, does this license allow me to use Xilinx ISE for commercial product design? Someone informed me this license is only for intended student use. What are the usage limits on this license?

Hi gracema@microvu

     What are the usage limits on this license?

That’s a loaded question!   I think you find clear answers (without legalese) from <this> post where,

@austin says:

may I use webpack to develop a bitstream for a FPGA in a product for sale? The answer is: absolutely!

@bassman says:

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use a bitstream created using the WebPack tools in a commercial product.

If you need the details for your legal department, then direct them to the following places:

EULA agreements in Xilinx document UG631
