Xilinx Vivado License

Jump to solution

Hello Xilinx Community,

i use the Webpack Free Version of Vivado and i wanna buy a Zedboard with a license.

What is the different between the free license and theVivado HL System Edition and the other license?

i find this webpage: https://www.xilinx.com/products/design-tools/vivado.html#buy

I know i get more tools when i use other License but:

My Question is support all License multicore CPUs like Ryzen 3900x? is the Free Webpack License slower like use only 1 or 2 Cores of the CPU and no more?

Best regards

Jeko

Hi @jeko91 ,

1) The only difference between Webpack license and System Edition is webpack supports only limited devices.

for example I'm using Trenz TE0745(ZYNQ XC7Z7030). My chip is in this limited list and I can use webpack edition.

I can run 8 cores without any problem. There is no performance restriction.

Vivado HL WebPACK Edition only supports the following devices: Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC (XCZU2CG/EG, XCZU3CG/EG), Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC (XC7Z007S – XC7Z7030), Spartan-7 (XC7S50), Artix®-7 (XC7A15T, XC7A35T, XC7A50T, XC7A75T, XC7A100T, XC7A200T), Kintex®-7 (XC7K70T, XC7K160T) , Kintex UltraScale™ (XCKU025 – XCKU035) and Kintex UltraScale+ (XCKU3P, XCKU5P)

In time, this list can be changed but point is that.

2) About buying a Zedboard with license. I have also ZC702 evaluation board and it came us with a license, device locked(you can use this license only with this board) and 1 year duration. I recommend you, before buying a license controlind, it comes a license or not.

3) Other license type is Avaluation, it also has full permissions, but expires in 1 month.

Regards,

Hi again,

Are you sure 7020 is in this limited list?

ZC702 has also 7020, but I did not see it in this list. Maybe it is updated, I do not know.

i think so because you said : Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC (XC7Z007S – XC7Z7030)... and between the Zynq 7000 to Zynq 7030 is the Zynq 7020.

I use the: xc7z020clg484-1

Or i am wrong?
