vlm command not found

License Installation Instructions Node-locked Licenses:

While installing Licenses for Ubuntu 20.04. I have downloaded xilinx.lic file and then typed 'vlm' in the terminal but i am getting following messages instead of opening Vivado license manager.

(base) harish@harish:~$ vlm

Command 'vlm' not found, but there are 16 similar ones.

Hello @imharish 

You can open VLM by just opening Vivado --> Help --> Manage License --> Manage License search paths.

Set XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE variable to point to the node-locked license file, once set, close and  re-open Vivado for that license to be effective.

vlm is under Vivado bin directory, say Vivado/2020.2/bin/vlm, so you need to make sure you've added it into your path.
