We have a custom design with Artix-7, XC7A200T and DDR3 and using Vivado 2015.2.
In this design we are operating DDR3 via MIG at a rate of 400MHz. Thus we chose the system clock in MIG tool like 2500ps(which is default and highest frequency).
Now when we migrated to Vivado 2018.2. In MIG tool if we select the system clock as 2500ps(instead of default 3000ps) tool is giving a warning that "for optimal resource utilization use default clock period or more that default" What exactly is this warning? If we ignore the warning and choose 2500ps , will it affect only resource utilization or will it also affect performance?

Hi @udaykumarurimi ,
Moving this post to proper board for this query.
Simultaneously , have a look into this thread. It looks similar. https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Memory-Interfaces/MIG-warning-at-maximum-frequency/td-p/778422

If the memory controller is running at the highest frequency, please ensure the hardwrad simulatin is completed for signal integrity.
