Hi All,

We have a board with XC7V585T device on it with a DDR3L SODIMM socket. The compatible DIMM for this device in the MIG core drop menu is MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G6.

This device has been discontinued by Micron and we are planning on using MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G9P1 instead of it. Attached is the datasheet with the timing parameters for both the DIMM's. We want to know if there will be any problem if we use this DIMM on the board and run it at 1.25 ns memory clock rate rather than 1.07 ns.

The MIG core will be implemented using this MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G6 DIMM.

XC7V585T SODIMM max phy rate is 1600Mb/s and MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G6 data rate is 1600Mb/s. However MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G9P1 data rate is 1866Mb/s.

Check for backward compatible i.e., 1600Mb/s. If backward compatible 1600Mb/s is supported then you can implement MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G9P1 at 1600 Mb/s.

Base device of MT16KTF1G64HZ-1G9P1 is MT41K512M8, 4Gb 1.35V DDR3L SDRAM. Backward compatible information is available at Base device MT41K512M8 datasheet.
