Gigabit Ethernet Ref Clock speed for Virtex-7 (415T)

Hi,

 

I am using Virtex-7 FPGA (415T) and i need to connect  gigabit Ethernet lane to FPGA. For that i need to connect ref_clk to the GTH transceivers.

 

Can you please tell me the ref_clk (frequency range)  for the gigabit Ethernet.

 

Speed of the gigabit Ethernet lane is 1.25 Gbps.

Hi

 

The GIgabit Ethernet using the transceiver works with reference frequency of 125Mhz when you use the SGMII core.

 

If you are using the wizard you can select the other reference frequencies present in the wizard.

 

Refer PG047 for more details if you are using the core.
