IBIS model error while loading kintex 7 model XC7K410T-FFG900

Dear Team,

We are using the Kintex 7 family  XC7K410T-FFG900 in one of our design.

While performing teh signal integrity and assigning the IBIS model in Hyperlynx, we are getting the following error. Please find the attached. The pins in the IBIS model and in our symbol are not matching.

Could you please help on this.

Thanks and Regards

Amarnadh

Re: IBIS model error while loading kintex 7 model XC7K410T-FFG900

Hello Amarnadh,

Can you please tell me what type of signal you are trying to simulate?  I see two ICs called out in the Warning, U100 and U2602.  Are both of these a Kintex 7?

Can you send the Xilinx IBIS file you generated?

Thank you,
Sam

Re: IBIS model error while loading kintex 7 model XC7K410T-FFG900

Hi Sam,

I am trying to simulate the SERDES differential signals. U100 is Kintex 7 part and U2602 is ADC part.

IBIS file I have downloaded from XILINX website for Kintex 7.

Thanks and Regards

Amarnadh

Re: IBIS model error while loading kintex 7 model XC7K410T-FFG900

Hello Amarnadh,

I missed the notfication that you had replied to this thread.  Sorry about the delay.

The IBIS file from the Xilinx website uses a generic pinout, it won't match the FFG900 package pinout.  This IBIS model is great for use in LineSim simualtions where you want to look at a particular driver or receiver.  In this case you will assign the models in HyperLynx using Models --> Assign Models/Values by Component.

With BoardSim you should use Vivado to generate a custom IBIS file with your pinout and specific device.  You can then assign the full model to apply to the entire reference designator through Models --> Assign Models/Values by Reference Designator (.REF File).

When you assign the Custom IBIS model through the .REF file, you will not get these errors.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Sam

Re: IBIS model error while loading kintex 7 model XC7K410T-FFG900

Dear Sam,

Can you guide me how to create Vivado model.

Present I am using IBIS-AMI model for this SERDES signals.

When I using this model I am not able to see the eye opening.

Please find the attached.

I have simulated at 6.25Gbps in Hyperlynx IBIS-AMI channel analysis.

Driver is Kintex 7  and receiver is AD9164 DAC.

Shall I use LVDS_HP_O_N&P models are in Fasteye Channel analysis?

Please guide me.

Thanks and Regards

Amarnadh

Dear Sam,

I am using the GTX transceiver parametres in Kintex 7 from datasheet(DS182_table 54).

Thanks in advance

Amarnadh.
