Is it possible to use Quad SPI as like regular SPI Flash?

We have Artix 7 based design. Where the Quad SPI (SPI x4 ) flash is used.

Now is it possible to use that like regular SPI flash (SPI x 1)?

Most if not all SPI flash memories are set up as SPIx1 after reset. Changing to QSPI is done with a command. Just don't do it and you can use them with standard SDI/SDO lines.
