Need to know about bank voltage

Hello,

I want to know that in Z7035 bank 500 is working with 1.8 V in eval board , Can you please provide the voltage range  of bank 500. actually, we want to know the input voltage range for PS_clk pin , which is in bank 500. how much Voltage input capacity of pins in BANK 500.

Please guide me as soon as possible

Thanks

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Do you mena the analog devices board,
https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/adrv9361-z7035.html

you might be better off asking there tech site any questions about the board.

https://form.analog.com/form_pages/support/integrated/techsupport.aspx

Re the XC7Z035 chip itself,
this is the tech ref manual
https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug585-Zynq-7000-TRM.pdf

table 2.2 shows Ps_clk on power rail VCCO_MIO0

Which table 2.1 shows can be between 1v8 and 3v3 , depending upon the board design.

Board is designed by Analog devices.

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Hi @nidhi.jani ,

Are you using Xilinx Evaluation? If Yes, you can get to know Bank500 Voltage range from Schematics of the board like below:

Bank500.PNG

Above Schematics is from ZC702 Xilinx Board.

You need to refer page 3 of DS191 (v1.18.1) : It will give Max voltage of Bank500 (of ZC702) and it is applicable for your custom board as well.

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Hi,

Thank you so much fro your reply.  But i want the to use TCXO which is operated on 3.3. so may i know the pin tolerence voltage of the bank 500.

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Hi

You have been asking this quesoint in different ways for a few weeks now,

https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Processor-System-Design/Need-information-regrading-TCXO/m-p/1061040

did you contact analog devices ?

We also never got to the bottom of the reason you wanted to use a 3v3 TCXO, you said at one point it was to be "better" , but we never did find out what better you are after,

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

yes i have already ask this question in analoge ces but couldn't get any reply.

TCXO which i want to use in my application is working on 3.3V, in 1.8V that features are not availble.

so thats why need conformation that it is possible to use 3.3V VDD LDO which output pin voltage is 1.2 to 1.8V.

Is Bank 501 pins capable to tolerate that voltage.

Thanks

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

The bank voltage is set by the board design,
it can be in the range 1v8 to 3v3.

If bank voltage is at 1v8, it can not support 3v3 inputs,

You will need to consult with the analog devices data for the board, may be the schematics, to ascertain what voltage they have that bank at.

Looking at this the other way, if we can know what you need off the clock chip, we might be able to help. Frequency , pull range as its a TCXO, stability ,

Alternativly , if yout TCXO is 3v3 out, and your bank is 1v8 in,
you need to add a voltage translator. Probably a chip,

Again if you can give us some more details I might be able to help

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Hello,

We have already consulted with analog devices and they have confirmed that the bank is operating at 1.8 V in this particular board. we only want to know the voltge range (VOH and VOL) of particular ps clock pin (when the bank is working with the 1.8 V) , for deciding the voltage translator range.

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

The table @ddn posted contians this information.  VCCO_MIO + 0.20V.  If the MIO is powered by 1.8V, the input should not exceed 2V, ideally not more than 1.8V.

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. May i know the minimum Voltage handling capacity of VDD_MIO pin. if maximum voltage is 1.8V then what willl be the minimum voltage at that pin.

Thanks

Re: Need to know about bank voltage

This is all as specified in the data sheets we have all pointed you at.
