Spartan 6Q replacement for space grade -55 to +125

Is there a direct replacement for the Spartan 6Q for the space industry?

Spartan 6Q's temp rating is -40 to +125. I need space grade -55 to +125 drop in replacement.

Please advise.

Thx

Soren

S,

There is no space grade Spartan device.

The current space part is the Q5 (Virtex 5) FX130 device.

Contact your aerospace Xilinx FAE to find out what the next device will be.

You do realize there is no such thing as a low cost space grade part?

The cost is yet not my concern ;o)

The temperature range is.

Any device may be operated from -55 to +125....

It might not work.  Guaranteed operation means buying a device that is tested and expected to work.   The automotive grade devices have a wide temperature range, is that what you are looking for?

l.e.o.

There is no "drop" in replacement for it. That was the last device of that type. The closest upgrade/replacement part with a similar footprint would be the defense grade Artix-7 parts and it will need some board modifications if not a new spin to get going. There are some major differences in the device architecture and IO that needs to be accounted for if you are to follow this route. I would highly highly recommend trying to get in touch with your local FAE or a Xilinx sales representative to further investigate this topic and find out what other options there are.
