Structure of BRAM and LUT

Jump to solution

Hello,

I need a very general infomation about structure of BRAM and LUTs, because I couldn't find them in documents. I need them for an academic paper.

First, Do the on-chip BRAM memories  have SRAM strcutre? I mean they are not DRAM or (Flip-Flop + multiplexer), right? If BRAMs are SRAM, then they are normal 6T SRAM cell or they are multiport?

Second, What about LUTs? the data  bits are Flip-Flop or SRAM cell?

Thanks

Thanks you Austin,

I found what I want in these patents:

- US 6208163, exactly shows that structure of LUTs are like SRAM memories, not like FFs.

US 6346825, for BRAMs

Thanks again.

h,

Go look at Xilinx patents.  They represent what we might have done in our design.  We may not have patented all implementations, and have kept implementations trade secret.

Another source of public information are ACM and IEEE papers and conerence proceedings.
