VCCINT to Ground Impedance altering in one of the board - Kintex 7 FPGA
I have designed a board with kintex-7 FPGA(XC7K410T-2FFG900I), which is completely proven along with the application software. 10 more boards were designed out of which 1 board is showing higher temperature on FPGA(XADC console).
Later observed that VCCINT to Ground is 27ohms but all other boards were showing around 44 ohms.
Board is still completely functional but the temperature on FPGA is shooting up to 110 degrees under ambient conditions, whereas other boards shoot up to 75 degrees in that span of time.
Resistance measurement is far too variable to be useful. Devices have a wide range of static power dissipation due to process. More likely, your device was damaged by ESD, and is in the process if failing. Were ESD handling precautions observed while handling this board? I would audit your ESD grounding straps, work benches, test equipment.
Improper handling can waste a lot of money quickly!
