difference between CLB Logic and logic distribution

Jump to solution

Hi ,

In my project, Vivado reports give CLB LUTs 50%, but there is another part named CLB Logic Distribution which also list CLB 96%.

Could any one give some hints of what is the difference between CLB Logic and logic distribution?

Thanks!

Well, right. That is why I see from Implementation diagram that almost the full chip is occupied.

I think this relates to LUT vs flops. A CLB has both and it the design allows they are both used in the same CLB. Otherwise LUT is in one CLB and the flop is in another. So more CLBs are used even though not effectively.
