issue with IO Delay in Spartan_6

Hi 

I can't work with IO delay primitive . it is about 1 week that i can not understand how it works and how can i adjust it,s settings.

I reed I/O delay overview in select I/O logic resources but i got confused about it.I need variable delay input. 

Can anyone explain this or help me with a simple code. I did not find any thing in web .

What exactly are you struggling with, are you getting a tool error or problems in HW?

have you looked at xapp 1064, it has a variable IO Delay, it is probably more complicated than you need but the code given there maybe a good starting point.
