How to generate PROGRAM_B signal in Maste BPI 7 seires

Jump to solution

Hi experts,

I have a question about how to generate PROGRAM_B signal in 7 sereis FPGA with Master BPI x16 mode.

There should be a negetive pulse to trig FPGA download from flash. I can use a button to generate it, while I don't think it is a good idea to push that button every time.

Could you give me some advice?

Thanks.

Chris.

Chris,

Button works just fine.  Once the first negative going edge is detected, the process starts.  Once prog_b returns high, the process is allowed to finish.

So, a pushbutton (no debouncing), or a nice clean logic low pulse;  both will do the job.

Austin, Thanks.

I added a reset chip, which can accept  manua reset input and generate a 1ms negative pulse.

I like Xilinx's PROM, it can provide a CF_N signal, it's eay to use.

Xilinx won't produce any PROM larger than 32Mbits, am I right?

Thanks.

Chris.
