PCIe VDM

HI All,

I am trying to find a way to send a PCIe VDM message from a host either at the user level or the driver level in Windows OS. For Config Space or Memory R/W , we can write into the memory mapped address of the device, how can I achieve the same thing to send a PCIe VDM message to the PCIe endpoint, Is there a memory mapped address for sending messages as well?

I am completely clueless about this.

Please throw some light on this.

Thanks.

Re: PCIe VDM

Hello Nerddk,

We do support Vendor Defined Messages (VDM.) Please look into PG156 found here: https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/ip_documentation/pcie3_ultrascale/v4_3/pg156-ultrascale-pcie-gen3.pdf

Thanks,

Cory
