PCIE Endpoint

Hi,

 

 

I willl use an XDMA Bridge instance in order to communicate the fpga with the computer. I have a question due to in the generated example on vivado of this block, it connects the bridge with an AXI BRAM Controller where the bram has 14bit width address and the bridge module address is about 32 bits.

 

In the generated example the bram depth is 2048 and 64b width, so I can understand that is byte addressable.

 

Would it be possible to connect a simple dual port bram with AXI interface of 8192 words and 64b width as the endpoint of the PCIe? Then both will have the same address width and I will be able to do some operations on the fpga, or the axi bram controller as the endpoint is a must?

AXI BRAM controller is used as an example. You can use Dual port BRAM also.
