PCIe DMA bitstream reload after each time FPGA is powered on

Hello!

I am using VCU118 board to develop PCIe DMA following that video tutorial. The drivers worked fine on linux OS and Windows also, but the problem is that when I power off the FPGA and turn it on back I have to reload the bitstream again to make it work. the device is seen on lspci but the driver cannot detect the xdma) Despite that I set JTAG mode (M[2:0] = 101) to program QSPI Flash then I set QSPI mode (M[2:0] = 001) to load FPGA from Flash.

Does anyone know what is the reason for that behavior and how to overcome it?

Thanks in advance!

Samuel

Hi @samuel_farid,

After doing power cycle of the FPGA, do you reboot the host machine?

@venkata I tried both with and without rebooting but the same issue.
