What is the differences between queue id and port id in qdma?

Jump to solution

Hi:

I had some questions about Xilinx's QDMA, hopping to get some helps here.

First, what is the differences between queue id and port id, or what is the port is used for?

Then, how can i use the queue id, if i had only one source connected to QDMA, will i just need to use one queue? what about  two sources, how to transfor data between two sources and one QDMA, with two queues or two ports?

Port ID is essentially the categorization of different queues on the user side. If you are not using such groupings in your application, port id can be ignored. We will update the document with an explanation on port id in the next release. Thank you for bringing it up.
