I have Xilinx Virtex 5 XC5VFX70T and DVI TX/ DVI RX daughter cards connected to the FPGA. I am using ISE 10.1
I want to make a DVI passthrough for now.
The company supplied me with DVI to PCI Express reference design. I could send you the design files if you want to check it out. 18 mb only. Their design is
DVI input -> DDR2 -> PCI Express
Question is, I would like to know if I can turn this design into DVI passthrough by taking out the PCIExpress section.
All I need is DVI input -> DDR2 -> DVI output
I don't have much prior knowledge about FPGA boards so if this sounds stupid, please excuse me :)
You can send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to check out the design files .
Any suggestions about manipulating the reference design or about writing my own DVI passthrough ?
Thank you in advance
