Accessing IRQ88 in ZYNQ MPSoC PL fabric

Jump to solution

Hello,

Figure 9-4 in the ZYNQ MPSoC US+ TRM (UG1085)  shows IRQ 88 being routed from the AMS block down to the PL outputs. How do you reference this signal from your PL design? I'd like to route it to a device pin to serve as a device alarm signal but it's not clear to me how to make that work. Can someone please provide a bit of guidance as to how to do this?  Thanks!

Take care.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the suggestion, and the excellent level of detail that you provided!

This is indeed what I thought might work but it's not clear if it's the appropriate way so I was hoping someone from Xilinx would pipe in with a definitive response before I go through the trouble of creating a new hardware config and software to test things out. In the absence of that I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and experiment with this to see if it does indeed do what I hope it does.

I'll post the results of that investigation in this thread in the hopes of saving someone else a bit of time in the future.

Take care.

Hello again!

Joe's suggested approach does appear to work as expected/hoped, so I think this is a viable way forward for me. Thanks!

Take care.
