We want that two zynq intercommunicate over ethernet.
As you know, Zynq has MAC in it and ethernet requires physical layer after MAC for communication. By the connection two physical layer of each Zynq , Zynq can easily communicate eachother.(standart ethernet)
Here is my question, What if I don't want use physical chip between two Zynq's ? Can Zynq still communicate over mac to mac connection? (of course they are cross connected , means tx -> Rx, rx->Tx)
I want to use RGMII as a MAC to MAC connection.
Note : I have added paint drawings, I hope drawing shows what I want to talk.
Could you solve this problem? Similar to your problem; I would like to establish an RGMII connection between the 88E6352 RGMII MAC to Zynq RGMII MAC, that is there is no PHY between them as cross connection.
Can such communication be established between MACs?
Note: 88E6352 is a ethernet switch that is produced by Marvell.
