How to calibrate DDR4 for the ZCU 102 Board?

Jump to solution

Hey, so I added a DDR SDRAM (MIG) to my design to operate from the PL side of the ZCU 102 board.  I have generated a bitstream and programed the hardware but the MIG core is invalid and I get the following warning:

CRITICAL WARNING: [Xicom 50-46] One or more detected MIG version registers have empty values: MIG properties will not be built.
Parameter Map Version: 0, Error Map Version: 0, Calibration Map Version: 0, Warning Map Version: 0

Per the instructions on this page:

http://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/64923.html

So I added calibration_ddr.elf and microblaze_mcs_ddr.bmm

But I still get the same errors.

I'm using Vivado 2016.2

If I can get some support that'll would be great.

Basically I'm trying to use the DDR4 on the PL side of the MPSoC on ZCU102.

We are using MIG and it generates a calibration (.bmm) file for MicroBlaze. I want to calibrate it directly from the PS.  Is there any direct way to set up the MIG version registers for this DDR 4 so then it doesn't have empty values.  It is currently an invalid core because of the empty values in the MIG registers.
