How to take input from Matlab via UART to zedboard
Hi, I am doing my Master thesis related to cryptography. I have written my design in VHDL in ISE. My design will take key(64bit) from external source (e.g via UART through Matlab), runs the encryption and return the output to Matlab via UART. The problem is I don't know how to configure UART of Zedboard Zynq 7000 development board with matlab, I am new to this. I only worked in ISE so I don't know if I have to use XPS or SDK or anything else for this? Can anyone help and tell me where to start to establish a connection between board and Matlab and which Xilinx tool to use? Waiting anxiously for guidance. Thanks a lot.
Also, I want to add: i dont need the ARM processor of zedboard here (I think). I am not sure if we can bypass the processor and directly work with FPGA and Matlab via UART. If someone knows, then kindly tell how to work directly communicate with FPGA only.
