A reference design containing a Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC Core from Xilinx has come to my hands. I've been reading a lot on the TEMAC user guide, in order to understand this reference design. However, I do not have experience on generating and/or constraining a new TEMAC.
I just want to confirm the following: This reference design I have has the TEMAC targeted to a Xilinx XC3S2000-FG676 Spartan-3 FPGA on an AVNET Development Board. I can NOT use this reference design on a Xilinx Virtex-5 XC5VLX110T FPGA, right?
More: Do I have to generate a complete new TEMAC and target it to a Virtex-5 FPGA or I just need to adapt the one I already have?
