QSPI nvRAM

Jump to solution

Hi, everything I found in the TRM UG1085 v1.7 under QSPI controllers was in reference to flash memory. I have noticed view vendors like cypress offer a QSPI nvRAM device and I am wondering if it is possible to connect a device like this in a similar fashion as the image below, but instead stacked with my boot flash memory. I wouldn't see why I couldn't if I have two chip selects.

as long as the serial device you pick is SPI and not I2C, it should work as they are standard SPI and the controller can handle SPI devices (single lane vs 2 or 4 lanes).
