SDK repository not being picked up

Jump to solution

Using Vivado/SDK 2018.3 on Win10

I have a custom board for which I need some modifications to LWIP2.02v1.2.  I've modified the sources for LWIP, put them in a repository at C:\XilinxProjects\PANOSETI\sw_repo, then point SDK to that directory:

Capture.JPG

Then I "regenerate BSP sources", etc, but the changes don't show up, the code is still that from the SDK install directory.

How can make SDK use my modified sources?

Thanks!

Rick

I believe I figured it out.  I hadn't copied all of the folders in the LWIP sources:

When I include data, doc, and examples, SDK sees the edited sources.

There needs to be two levels of hierarchy. See the wiki below, there is a section that covers your use case:

Adding custom BSP, Library, Drivers, or SW Apps to SDK:

Can you try create a new BSP and check if your custom library is used?

Might be not picked up when using the regenerate bsp and you might need to create a new BSP, and use this on in your application (right click on your application, and under properties, switch the target bsp)

Re: SDK repository not being picked up

I tried making a new BSP- no help.

Here's the directory structure of my sw_repo

Capture1.JPG

I point SDK to this directory like so:

Capture.JPG

There are changes in ethernet.c (among others) that are not being found.

I know I've done this successfully before, but maybe it was on a Win7 PC

Thanks for any help
