Start to learn "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC"

Jump to solution

Hi

I'm a beginner in FPGA, I studied "Circuit Design with VHDL (2004)_Pedroni.pdf" book and worked with Spartan3 family. Now I'm very interested in learning about "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC".

(I work multicore programming on CPU and TI DSP (C6678) before)

Question 1:

Please, guide me how should I start to learn "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC"?

Question 2:

How can I buy a "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC" Eval board? or what is the part number of "Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC" Eval board?

I searched on internet but I found nothing.

Best Regards

ZCU102,

Is the Zynq MPSoC board many are waiting to buy.

It is presently in the field with those who signed up for early access through their Xilinx authorized distributor,

As per the training, either keep looking on xilinx.com, or ask your distributor to have a FAE visit you with the training materials (they were all here last week to get their training).

If you cannot wait, I suggest using the Zynq 7000 devices.

Look up getting the Zynq Book.  It is an excellent book.

Also, you can use the QEMU in petalinux to evaluate on the ZCU102. You can use the BSP for the ZCU102 board. The petalinux download, and BSPs can be found here:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.html/content/xilinx/en/downloadNav/embedded-design-tools/2016-1.html

See the petalinux user guide for install help. Also, the steps to build the project using the BSP is on page 17:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2016_1/ug1144-petalinux-tools-reference-guide.pdf

For help using the QEMU can be see here:
