We have our xilinx tools running on a central server, but the xilinx board local on the lab workplace.
Until know we configured the FPGAs with the cableserver and impact via a normal network connection. This is no problem having a normal webpack on the local computer with the cableserver.
Is it also possible to use the XMD (the license is only available on the central server) and connect to the cable server in order to debug the system from remote?
Thanks for your help.

No. I don't want to use it in a standalone fashion.
As it is already possible to use the 'Cableserver.exe' ,that comes with the standard Webpack, to remotely configure the FPGA from anywhere in the world, as long as the local user has the Webpack. My question is: can I also remotely debug the FPGA with the same interface using XMD instead of Impact to connect to the Cableserver.
