loading application in Zynq

Hi all,

I am working on ZC706, I am programming the board with JTAG and USB cables.

When I have already prgrammed it and now I want to add new program, so can I do it without switching power from on to off and thnen  on. 

Means is it necessary to power off first brfore programmming FPGA or is it safe to program in power on mode?

Hi,

Yes, you can reprogram the FPGA while it is already powered on and programmed. Your JTAG programming cable will reset it and set it in a correct state before reprogramming it, you won't have anything to do.

you can reprogram the fpga without any concern as many times as you want while the power is on. if you have linux you can even program the fpga through the os by using xdevcfg.
