I'm working on zynq zc702 boards, we have run the GEM with on board PHY chip, it works fine.
And now we want to use the FMC to add an external PHY, such as TB-FMCL-GLAN-B, and try to connect the external PHY to gem.
I have some question about this case:
1. how can I change the network connection
from
gem <---> on board PHY
to
gem <---> extern PHY(TB-FMCL-GLAN-B)
it looks like this is controlled by a pre-loaded FPGA, where can I download this pre-loaded FPGA?
2. how many gem core in SOC(zynq zc702), from the ug585_zynq_7000_TRM, there are two: gem0, gem1, does gem1 really exist?
there is only one RJ45 port on zynq zc702 and only gem0 is used, can I connect the gem1 to external PHY(such as TB-FMCL-GLAN-B) through FMC if gem1 exist
