Cannot step into bsp driver's code; sdk 2016.4 debug

Hello,
I have recently switched to vivado 2016.4. When debugging standalone applications, i cannot step into the source code of bsp drivers. Stepping into the driver's functions takes into assembly code. It wasn't used to be like that in earlier versions (at least in 2014.4). Please guide me how can i get the debugger to step into c code of drivers as i am in the process of making lwip work on a custom board with non marvel phy and this behavior is really annoying

Thanks,
Jwd

Hello,

Try the following:

- Right-click on BSP from Project Explorer -> Board Support Package Settings

- Select the cortex under drivers section (ps7_cortexa9_0)

- Modify the extra_compiler_flags: on Value column add at the end " -g" -> Ok

Just wanted to close the loop and say that this works.

Thanks!
