Ev. Board XC7Z020: issues with Jtag cable while programming flash

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to Xilinx SDK (2016.2) and Zynq devices. I'm trying to program a Flash memory through "Xilinx Tools -> Program Flash". I already set properly the .BIN image and the FSBL. I connected the JTAG cable receiving this message on SDK_log: "Connected to target on host '127.0.0.1' and port '3121'.". Now I run the program flash, and I get this message on the console:

"

cmd /C program_flash -f \
C:\Users\stage_mrossi\Desktop\tutorial\LED_project\LED_project_SDK\boot\bootimage\BOOT.bin \
-offset 0 -flash_type nor -fsbl \
C:\Users\stage_mrossi\Desktop\tutorial\LED_project\LED_project_SDK\boot\Debug\boot.elf \
-cable type xilinx_tcf url TCP:127.0.0.1:3121

Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Hi Pratham,
Thanks for your quick reply.
Yes, I'm able to program fpga by using a jtag micro-usb cable.
In any case, I "solved" the issue right now, by merely restarting both windows and my ev.board, and it seems it works fine now.
Thanks again, best regards.

@bloodywin Are you able to program FPGA directly? what is the cable are you using, can you try with spare cable if available? is this the first time usage on this board and cable?
