Is it possible to implement 802.11 WLAN standard on a ZYNC FPGA?

From my brief amount of research, it appears that the WLAN standard uses the SD/SDIO interface, generally from an Android or Linux processor. But I've also seen some that use an ARM to interface to the WLAN transceiver.

1. Has anybody implemented 802.11 in a ZYNC before?

2. What core would be needed. I was hoping to find an 802.11 core, but didn't see one. Maybe I missed it.

3. Any other words of advice or caution?

Thanks

Re: Is it possible to implement 802.11 WLAN standard on a ZYNC FPGA?

Hi,

Did you by any chance find a suitable 802.11 IP core? The only ones I am able to find are from large companies that want to know which manufacturing process I will be using... I just need to build a single prototype.

Thanks,
