section to memory region mapping

Hello,

I have some issue when assigning section to memory  region mapping in lsscript.ld

The elf mapping is as following:

text data bss dec hex filename
98616 8188 5188 111992 1b578 CZ5C2010A_uBlaze_POD.elf

While the memory available is

 bram0 64k

bram1 64k

because text is ~84k , I can't handle the assigning of section to memory without getting linker error os size.

Please advise,

Ran

Re: section to memory region mapping

You can probably try assigning the text sections to different regions of memory by editing the linker script. Check the AR below:

Re: section to memory region mapping

 Hi,

Thanks for the link, But I don't see any .text file in my source directory.

I suppose I should divide that .text file into 3 seperate files, but where is it ?

Regards,

Ran

Re: section to memory region mapping

How many relocatable object files (*.o) do you have in the Debug/Src folder of your application?

Each of the object file has a .text section. If you have multiple object files (*.o) you can split the text section and place them in different memories (if you have any) as per the AR.
