zcu104 no targets found using XCST

Jump to solution

HW is zcu104, Vivado/SDK is 2018.3, OS is Ubuntu 18.04

I have been able to boot with an SD card with SW6 in SD configuration.

Have not been able to run the "hello_world" application from the SDK. Always get a complaint  "Could not find arm device on the board".

I am expecting that there is something not correct with the JTAG configuration.

Putting SW6 in JTAG configuration and attempting to use XSCT, I type "connect" and the response is "tcfchan#1". However when I type "targets" I get nothing.

Definetly suspecting something wrong in the JTAG chain.

Suggestions would be helpful.

Thank You

Tom

These issues are most always related to a driver issue. Can you (re)install the driver and try again

Yes, this was a cable issue. Thank you so much for the direction.

There was a description of how to install the cable drivers, here. https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/59128.html
