what does it mean by the msg of INFO: [SDx-EM 22]

My project compiles correctly. And it runs ok in sw_emu mode. But in hw_mode, it seems to be stuck, and keeps showing msg like this:

INFO: [SDx-EM 22] [Wall clock time: 12:18, Emulation time: 0.0865756 ms] Data transfer between kernel(s) and global memory(s)
BANK0          RD = 0.609 KB               WR = 0.010 KB
BANK1          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB
BANK2          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB
BANK3          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB

INFO: [SDx-EM 22] [Wall clock time: 12:23, Emulation time: 0.173906 ms] Data transfer between kernel(s) and global memory(s)
BANK0          RD = 0.609 KB               WR = 0.010 KB
BANK1          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB
BANK2          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB
BANK3          RD = 0.000 KB               WR = 0.000 KB

more..

...

What could be the problem? thx

Sam

Hey @sl_cgi,

INFO: [SDx-EM 22] ...

Is an informational message which provides statistical data on the data transfer between kernels and memory.

Hope this helps,

Herbert

Re: what does it mean by the msg of INFO: [SDx-EM 22]

hi @sl_cgi

so the messages are displayed every 5 minutes (real time/ CPU time) of RTL simulation time, the design has not read or written further data - the unit is KB.

so yes it seems the design is stuck. what was the expectation for the received/sent data?

anything special happens after 10 bytes are written by kernel? or ~600 bytes after data are read?

you can launch the waveforms to try to understand what's happening too

hope this helps

@herver

Thanks for your reply.

How can observe the waveform? Any reference?

thx

hi @sl_cgi

in UG1023 look for sdaccel.ini and what is need to enable waveform ; also note that needs -g compilation
