How to read the heap contents from DRAM?

Hi,

I'm using reVISION stack platform to run pose estimation application. The capture and display pipelines are present in the PL whereas I implement openCV-based pose estimation in PS. There are several steps involved for computing pose of the camera. Among them, the first step is to extract the features in the image. This is usually done using ORB method. Then, these features will be used by other blocks such as FLANN matcher, PnP, and RANSAC to eventually compute the pose.

I'd like to implement a custom block in the PL which uses the features generated by ORB. My understanding is that the features will be stored in the heap segment of the memory. I'm wondering how can I pull out those contents and pass them on to my custom IP block.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Venky

Re: How to read the heap contents from DRAM?

Would it be possible to pass the pointers across the AXI-4 bus from CPU to any custom block in the fabric?. I was reading about heterogenous processor architecture at the following link and wondering whether pointer passing from one compute unit to another is possible in Zynq MPSoCs. Would it be possible to pass data from one compute unit to another, e.g., from CPU memory to ISP.
