Open_dsa issue in Vivado

Hi,

I have this error when I run step 8 in this example:

I am using the SDSoC 2017.4 to open the dsa file on this project

open_dsa C:/XL/zcu102_es2_rv_ss/hw/zcu102_es2_rv_ss.dsa

But the error is:

ERROR: [Common 17-94] Failed to create file C:/Users/Usersname/AppData/Roaming/Xilinx/Vivado/.Xil/Vivado-200-WGC1W7C92GP32/zcu102_es2_rv_ss_2/prj/sources_1/bd/zcu102_es2_rv_ss/ip/zcu102_es2_rv_ss_vid_phy_controller_0_0/hdl/src/verilog/zcu102_es2_rv_ss_vid_phy_controller_0_0_gtwrapper_gthe4_common_wrapper.v.

Do you know why this happens? Plase give me the hints, appreciate so much

you mean, in chapter 8?
this is only a blind shot but did you try to 'cd' into your working directory before issuing the command?

Yes in chapter 8

I tried to "cd" to working directory but the error is the same, don't know why it generate the file at C:/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Xilinx/Vivado/.Xil/Vivado-200-WGC1W7C92GP32/zcu102_es2_rv_ss_4/prj/sources_1/bd/zcu102_es2_rv_ss/ip/zcu102_es2_rv_ss_vid_phy_controller_0_0/...

Do I need to set up the environment variables or something like that ?

Am I able to see the PS/PL configuration in case I can open this "dsa" file

yes, appearently.

I never opened a dsa that way but the hardware design is among the generated files in SDSoC. I usually open it directly from there.

You will not be able to see the PS configuration, though...

It's file path limitation issue.

A similar error message pop out to me recently.

I solved the problem simply by changing the working directory of Vivado to an external HDD.

Maybe it can not be activated from the same HDD where the OS is installed?
