Problem with modifing the Linux Kernel in SDSoC

Hello All,

I am going to modify the Linux kernel (uImage file in the platform for ZC702).

I followed the instruction in the

SDSoC\2015.2\platforms\zc702\boot\how-to-build-this-linux-kernel.txt

and

SDSoC\2015.2\platforms\zc702\boot\how-to-build-this-u-boot.txt

After replacing the uImage and u-boot.elf

The Linux system is OK and working but when I run an application containing a hardware accelerator generated by SDSoC the system freezes

Note that the defult kernel in the SDSoC is 3.19.0-xilinx-apf

however the instruction in the how-to-build-this-linux-kernel.txt file says we have to use 3.17.0

I was wondering if anybody can help to modify the kernel in SDSoC.

Thanks

mohava

Hi mohava,

Hopefully you've already found a solution to this question, but in case anybody else stumbles upon this post i'll answer it.

In SDSoC 2015.2, you should use 3.19.0. The note in the file to use 3.17.0 is old and was not current.

Did you verify that the image files work? You can load it onto an SD card and boot ( change boot mode to boot from SD card)
