ARTIX 7 GTP settings about SATA 6Gbps

Jump to solution

Hello everybody ,I have a question about A7 GTP settings for SATA 6Gbps .I have used gtp wizard to set up gtp,but GTP is out of the controlling ,the received data(from sata SSD) is polluted. GTP user guide on the xilinx website is released in 2016, is there any new revison of the GTP user guide?I refered to  GTX user guide,GTH user guide and GTY user guide ,found that they all had a chapter named  "CDR Configuration for SATA",but GTP user guide didn't have the chapter named  "CDR Configuration for SATA",is there any question?

Hi @windflying

The GTP wizard has built in SATA3 preset which you can select in the customization GUI. With SATA3 selected, the wizard will automatically choose the optimized CDR settings for you.

In addition, check out these answer records for SATA OOB and EI implementation requirements:

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/63869.html: 7 Series FPGA GTX/GTH/GTP Transceivers - Recommendation on CDR usage for SATA protocol

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/44587.html: 7 Series GTX/GTH/GTP Transceivers - RX OOB use modes

Can you describe in more detail on your failure scenario? Are you getting data errors when exiting EI? What about during initialization?

Thanks,
Jessica
