IBIS AMI ARTIX-7 GTP: No RX Die model Available

Jump to solution

Hello,

As per the following link

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/71949.html

"The testbench must include die termination models (which model the on-die characteristics) and the package models. When simulating for a custom channel, just replace the example channel s-parameter model with the actual channel model.

The end-to-end channel should include 5 components:

TX die termination -> TX package -> channel -> RX package -> RX die termination."

But in the downloaded S-Parameter file there is no TX/RX die termination model available.

But only folloing files are there in the s-paramters folder

Please suggest for 7 sereies GTP model do we need to consider the RX/TX die model or not.

I tried without that but the IBIS-AMI Channel Analysis in Hyperlynx is failing.

Please suggest as we have to qualify the board for 3 Gbps and results are not as expected.

Thanks

Anil

Hello

the die model was embedded in the package in this IBIS AMI model.

For 7 sereies GTP model there is no need to consider the RX/TX die model.

what is the error message returned by HL?

thanks

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I the S-Port assignment was wrongly connected in my setup.

Now after changing the port order things are looking good.

Thanks
