IF is not declared under prefix inst

I have created a project to test an AXI4LITE slave interface, in Vivado 2017.3.  I was using the following URL as an example:  AXI4 Lite Slave Interface.  However, I can't seem to get it to work.  I keep getting the IF is not declared under prefix inst error.  I am pretty much following the example.  The only difference is that I am not using Xilinx IP as the AXI slave.

Any and all help is much appreciated.  The project archive is attached to this post.

Hi @ken.sallings,

This error is coming due to missing instantiated module in source file.

I ran design you shared using 2017.3 and simulation ran without any errors.

I am using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 6.5.

Which OS are u using ???

Thanks,

Sunilkumar

I am using Debian 9.  After reading your post, I did another test here.  I have a 2nd Debian9 machine with Vivado as well and it simulates properly, too.  So I reinstalled vivado on my primary development machine and it now works as expected.

Thanks for your time; you were a great help!
