ISim Issue. Child exe not found

Jump to solution

Hi everybody,

I created a project in the ISE 14.6. I programmed a regular VHDL file. I performed the "Synthesize" and "Implement Design" without errors.

I created a VHDL Test Bench file to simulate the VHDL Module. The Process "Behavioral Check Syntax" completed successfully. And finally the Process "Simulate Behavioral Model" completed successfully. But when the ISim window was showed, appear this message:

ERROR: The simulation failed to launch for the following reason:

Failed to launch child process (child exe not found).

Please shut down ISim and retry the simulation. If the problem persists, please contact Xilinx support.

Time resolution is 1 fs

No active Database

Unable to execute live simulation command.

How can I resolve this error?

Re: ISim Issue. Child exe not found

Hello again Xilinx Community,

After some attempts to make iSim work, I've finally found the solution.

What I did was basically disable the Antivirus software (in my case it is AVAST) and re-launch iSIM. This time it worked as usual.

Regards
