Vivado Simulator 2017.4 GUI Issues

Jump to solution

Using Vivado Simulator 2017.4 in Windows 10, some peculiarities were noticed involving the Objects window.

With more objects to be displayed than can be shown all together at once (about 70 objects), the right-side scroll bar is properly operative to allow display of all objects, including the first and last ones.

When Ctrl-A is typed to select all objects, display of the first object becomes almost completely obscured.  Moving the scroll bar up and down shows that all objects have been selected (per the bluish highlighting) and display of the last object is no problem, but display of the first object is not possible, as it remains obscured.  If a single object is then clicked on, and the scroll bar moved up and down, the first object will again be displayed.

Much more serious however, is the fact that after doing CTrl-A, then doing Ctrl-C to copy the selected objects, and then doing Ctrl-V to paste them into the left side of the waveform display window, only those objects then currently visible in the Objects window get copied over to the waveform display.

Vivado bugs, apparently.
