I am seeing a strange issue with Windows version of Vivado 2018.3. The Linux version of Vivado 2018.3 does not produce the same error with the same design.
Windows Xsim stops with error 'Index 2 out of bound 1 to 1' on a string array even though the string is defined as 1 to 2.
My code snippet is below:
SHARED VARIABLE sdf_data : STRING (1 TO 2);
sdf_data(1 TO 2) := inline.ALL(1 TO 2);
What is the solution for this to be able to run on Windows?

Have you got a chance to try out in Vivado 2019.1?

Yeah. Vivado 2019.1 cannot even get past static elaboration (I opened a second post on this topic today). It seems like the newer Vivado versions are really buggy.

Can you attach the test case so that we can reproduce the failure at our end and make further investigation?
