FMC XM105 Connected to SP601 Voltage Level

Jump to solution

I'm currently using the FMC XM105 debug card connected to a SP601 starter kit board and looking to use differential inputs located on J1: FMC_LA10_P  and FMC_LA10_N.  I was unable to locate the proper voltage level inputs.  Do these I/Os support LVCMOS25?

VIL min = -0.3 Volts

VIL max = 0.7 Volts

VIH min = 1.7 Volts

VIH min = 4.1 Volts

UG518 - SP601 HW UG Page 25

The SP601 board VADJ voltage for the FMC LPC connector (J1) is fixed at 2.5V (nonadjustable).
The 2.5V rail cannot be turned off.

UG537 - XM105 UG

All correctly designed FMC modules take the VADJ from the carrier card that it is the host.

What do you mean by you can't locate the proper voltage input levels?

Yes.

Thank you for your response and confirming the voltage level input. When I said I could not locate it, I mean I looked in UG518 and UG537 and neither document states that these I/Os are LVCMOS25.

Hello,

So, if I understood correctly :

FMC Vita connector maximun voltage is 2.5V.

Is it compliant with a 3.3V from quickswitch TTL ?

Thanks

@matthieulm

FMC Vita connector maximun voltage is 2.5V.

If you are refering to Power supplies, then No. It has 12V and 3.3V pins as well. The Voltage rail being referred here is VADJ which is fixed for 2.5V on the SP601

Is it compliant with a 3.3V from quickswitch TTL ?

Not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate on this?
