sp605 red leds

I get the error program fail when using impact ISE.

The error log reads...

write cmdbuffer failed 20000015.
Error reading reference voltage level.

Also the INIT LED is red and the DS18 LED is red.

Any suggestions?

The error occurs when the USB circuitry has gone bad. To confirm this, please try to configure another board. As a workaround, you can use the JTAG flying leads to configure the FPGA.

I thought those 6 flying leads were gpio.  Are you talking about the 6 pins that are located very close to the jtag/uart ports?  If not could you tell me where those leads exist?

Yes, the 6 pins next to the USB JTAG and Serial connectors.

I have attached a schematic of the J55 port located near the JTAG/UART connects.

It seems to me that these pins aren't for JTAG and if they are then the documentation isn't so descriptive as to why they are for JTAG.

One other thing is that I have never understood what those filled in triangles mean that are found at the first or last pins on a port like J55.  Does that mean ground or does it signify the first or last pin?JTAG.jpg

Do i need to change the configuration of how the FPGA is programmed now that I have bypassed the usb?

I am getting this error log...

The filled-in triangle signifies pin 1.  You can verify this by looking at the pads on the backside of the board and comparing them with the information in AR #41818

In addition, there is no external access header for JTAG on the SP605.
