Multichannel Audio Processing Resources

Hello,
I have to make a 12 channel digital audio mixer (12 bits per channel after ADC). The per channel flow is as follows:
ADC->Filtering & DSP->DAC

I am planning to use Xilinx System Generator for the filtering (DSP) and I plan to process all the channels in parrallel. I am willing to make my own circuit instead using that chip of using a Kit. What FPGA chip would be most suitable and have the resources for a project of this scale.
I understand that the DSP part requires multipliers and other hard IPs but right now I am confused on what would meet requirements of this scale.

You can use any 7 series FPGA . Here you can find FPGA resources

But will nothing less the the series 7 do? Series 7 is costly, right?
