Statistics on LUT functions???

Hi,

I wonder if it exists some statistics on the synthesized functions which are the implemented in LUTs?

I mean, if we consider a LUT2 which can be configured in 16 different functions (AND, OR, XOR..etc..), which one is the most commonly synthesized? And what about LUT6 which has 2^2^6 possible functions?

Regards

Kevin

Re: Statistics on LUT functions???

That sounds like the kind of statistics that Xilinx does for their own internal use.  This is

one reason they deliver "Webtalk" with ISE.  However I'm pretty sure that Xilinx won't part

with the information easily.  At a minimum I'd expect them to ask for an NDA, but more likely

they'll just keep it secret to make sure other FPGA companies don't benefit from their

own research.

Re: Statistics on LUT functions???

Hi Gabor,

Thank you for your reply.

I'm working on reconfigurable cells based on dougle gate transistors, and on the interconnection matrix for these cells. Trying to simplify the existing interconnection structures like in FPGAs. I would like to use cells with a reduce set of possible functions. This is why, I'm looking for informaiton on how to select the functions to keep.

If someone knows some webtalk, articles, and so on, please let me know.

Kevin
